The interview for One Word Radio's Between the Lines show is being repeated on Saturday 17th September. Richard reads from and discusses Robophobia in detail in a 30 minute slot with Paul Blezard. new book & award

Richard has received an Individual Artist Award from Arts Council England to support the writing of his next novel, Exilium. The story is the third in the Sorber & Fox series and is expected to be released in 2007. Richard has recently visited MIT in Boston as well as locations in New York to research the book.

Each talk will be entitled 'Uncanny Valley: Living with Living Machines' and will feature a presentation & discussion on the far-reaching ethical and social implications of the coming world of artificial helpers, friends and lovers. Copies of Machine Nation and Robophobia will be available at each talk. All events are free to attend.

On May 4th, Richard previewed the Uncanny Valley series with a talk for Science Fiction course students at Liverpool University.
